2"arbeiten mit" – together with people or tools

Use "arbeiten mit" when you want to say with whom or with which tool you work.

3"arbeiten für" – for a person or a goal

Use "arbeiten für" to say for whom or for which goal you work.

Question: Für wen arbeitest du? / Für was arbeitest du?

Grammar: "für" takes Accusative: für eine Firma, für unseren Chef.

4"arbeiten bei" – workplace / company

"arbeiten bei" tells you where you are employed, which company or organisation.

Question: Wo arbeitest du?

5"arbeiten an" – project, product, topic

With "arbeiten an" you say which project, product or topic you are working on.

Grammar: "an" here normally takes Dative: an einem Projekt, an meinem Auto, an ihrer Präsentation.
