There are five important pairs that you need to know: sowohl - als auch, weder - noch, entweder - oder, nicht nur - sondern auch, and zwar - aber.

1. Sowohl - als auch

The conjunction „sowohl … als auch“ is used to emphasize two positive characteristics.

2. Nicht nur - sondern auch

4. Zwar - aber
